I liked him well enough. He made it easier to get through the book; especially the excessively drawn out parts. Sometimes, I may get a bit confused about who he is reading when he does the dialogue, or when he is just doing the thoughts or descriptions, especially if I am not totally focused on the audio (which was usually when I got a bit confused and would have to pick up the book).

Favorites? How can I choose a favorite? Well, okay, maybe I can; but more than one favorite. Among the ones that are my favorites, I doubt I could choose one over the other really, because I love them for different reasons. Although, Jem and Will, I think I have a special place in my heart for Jem...and he would be that one that would take top spot...just a bit.

Of all the characters, I do love Charlotte & Henry (how can you not love them! Especially Henry and his "remind you of your grandpa or favorite uncle" kind of way about him!). Tessa, I loved her strength. Her questions would get on my nerves sometimes, but, I guess if you don't ask, you will never know! As she grew, she began to ask less questions and realize, she can figure things out without so many questions..especially as she got more comfortable as a shadow hunter and a young woman. She had a strength about her that I wish I had at her age, heck, my age now! Yet, she would show her vulnerable side sometimes too. She had a balance about herself.

This book was very beautifully written, all the books were. Almost like reading poetry in novel form. It had you going from one emotion to the next then back again! A whole lot of laughter in there too.

So far, between T.M.I & T.I.D., my favorites would be T.I.D.. Although, I do miss the mess out of my Simon! I was ready to get through The Infernal Devices just so I can read about Simon! Lord knows I love that little dude! 😍

I can finally say that I checked (✓) off another series/trilogy in my self imposed "Year of the Series 2017" challenge that I started a little early (In October). And one more book down for the Big Book Challenge (BBC)[✓].

It took me a while to finish this book because I just was not feeling the reading thing and these books seem to take me a while to get through anyway because they are good but slow reads for me personally. So, even if I read them daily, it would probably take me at least a week to finish because they are pretty big books.

Wrap Up: November 2016

I had to redo this because too many of the links kept coming up as "not found"

Didn't do a review for this one, but I really did enjoy this book. I gave it a 4.5/5

2017 Reading Goals: A Look Ahead

This year, I will do as I did before and participate in at least 4 challenges that I did in 2016 as well as one that I got a head start on in the last few months of 2016 & another that I began looking into finding books for (#2 & #6). I will also link any groups that might go with the challenges.

1. Popsugar Reading Challenge 2017 (Goodreads group link)
The group I have here has the PSRC as well as a Personal Challenge and other things in it.

2. Year of the Series
(as far as I know, there isn't a group for this and I  don't know if anyone else is doing it or any other person than the one I spoke to about it)
πŸ“šThis is where I try to get caught up on and/or finish series, duologies, trilogies etc that I started over the years and never finished for one reason or another. If I find that I just can't get into the series, I give myself permission to DNF the 'series'.
πŸ“šI will also allow myself to start two more series this year (maybe more if I do well with keeping on a good pace with finishing series). One, I had tried to read before but just never finished the book. The other, is from an author that I found in 2015 & got caught up on one of her series in 2016.
  A) Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling
  B) Library Lover's Mystery series by Jenn McKinlay

I am going to do my best not to start any other series until I get caught up on some of the ones I started (i.e.- Cassandra Clare Shadowhunters series, and a few others..or, I DNF them)

3. Cruisin' thru the Cozies Reading Challenge (Goodreads group link)
In 2016, I participated in Level 2 (Investigator) [7-12 books]. This year, I decided to go down to Level 1 (Snoop) [6+books]. While, in 2016, level 1 was read at least six books and level 2 was read at least 7-12 books, they have changed it up quite a bit this year. So, my going down a level worked out perfectly. I will give the list of types of cozies they want you to read in level 1 and I may also make a post for that so I can keep up with what I have read and what I need to get to.

So, here's the list I will be working on for 2017 Cruisin' Thru the Cozies Reading Challenge Group (total of 10 books):
- One from culinary (anything dealing with food: restaurants, baked goods, etc.)
- One from animal related (cats, dogs, birds, etc.)
- One from craft related (any kind of hobbies - knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking, etc.)
- One from paranormal (witches, vampires, etc.)
- One from British cozy mysteries (example: Belinda Lawrence series)
- One career-based cozy mystery (housekeeping, wedding planner, etc.)
- One holiday based (set during any holiday - Christmas, Thanksgiving, Valentines, etc.)
- One travel mystery (character could be on a cruise, touring another area, etc.)
- One historical mystery (any mystery not set in the present)
- One is your choice! (freebie!)

4. Big Book Challenge (Goodreads group link)
This one is where you read books that are 400 pages+.  In 2016, I set it at 7 books and I think I may keep it at that level (at the time I am typing this, which is in November 2016, that is my thoughts, I may change my mind later and up it.

5. Read more stand alone books
As much as I like series, they can be a bit daunting and sometimes, you just need something that is quick and easy to read without "worrying" about any other books after that. So, I hope to find more stand alone books. Which leads me into number 6.

6. Read Outside My Comfort Zone
I am mostly looking into reading more Contemporary romance (YA/NA/Adult,etc). It's hard for me to read New Adult (NA) and Adult Romance because many tend to be a little bit too raunchy for me. I tend to steer clear of the raunchy as much as possible. I don't mind the innuendo, just not being overly descriptive (i.e. Envy by Sandra Brown, I could've done without all of that).

So, more than likely, it will take me a while to work my way up to NA and Adult, but with a little poking around, I'm sure I will find something I am looking for that suits my wants. While also looking into other genres to see if there is something I may like but have yet to try. :)

So, that is my 2017 Goals and what I am hoping to accomplish. Hopefully I will get most done and out the way but also keeping it relaxed and fun. That's why I only have a set number of books for two parts because I don't want to over do it. And the Popsugar Reading Challenge may also help me get through the year as well with reading different types of books as well as things that may fit into the other challenges I am working on this year!😊
